Ducky Bhai Says He Was Abused in NCCIA Custody

YouTuber Ducky Bhai alleges physical and verbal abuse during his time in NCCIA custody. Saadur Rehman, known online as Ducky Bhai, released a video detailing alleged mistreatment following his arrest by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). He was apprehended at Lahore Airport in August, accused of promoting online gambling.

Rehman was granted bail by the Lahore High Court on November 25. However, his legal status remained uncertain. NCCIA Lahore’s Additional Director, Sarfraz Chaudhry, was reportedly removed from his position in September amidst controversy, including these allegations.

The YouTuber’s video chronicles his experiences from arrest, describing encounters with Chaudhry. He claims the official subjected him to verbal abuse and physical assault, questioning the source of his income. Rehman asserted that officials attempted to solicit a bribe of Rs70-80 million to resolve the case.

Allegations of Bribery and Financial Misappropriation

Furthermore, Rehman contends that investigators pressured him to open his Binance account. He alleges that his trades were closed at a loss, converted to US dollars, and then transferred. The investigating officer allegedly moved the sum to a personal account. SindhNews.com previously reported on the ongoing investigation into such irregularities.

The NCCIA responded, stating that corrupt individuals, not the institution, engage in misconduct. A spokesperson reiterated the agency’s zero-tolerance policy and confirmed an ongoing investigation with the FIA Anti-Corruption. In October, six NCCIA personnel were arrested for alleged misuse of authority and bribery. Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq is representing the accused officials. A First Information Report (FIR) was registered against nine individuals, including these NCCIA personnel, following a complaint by Rehman’s wife.

This situation highlights serious accusations of misconduct within law enforcement. The outcome of the ongoing investigation will be crucial in determining accountability and impact on broader institutional trust.
