Sedition Case Registered Against Zain Shah and 60 Others in Sindh
HYDERABAD/DADU: A sedition and rioting case has been registered against Syed Zain Shah, the Vice President of the Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP), along with 60 other activists. The case follows events held in Sann on Saturday to commemorate the 122nd birth anniversary of renowned Sindhi nationalist leader G.M. Syed.
The FIR, lodged by ASI Badruddin Kalhoro at the Chhachhar police station in Sann on behalf of the state, names several prominent figures. Among those accused are Sindh United Party (SUP) Secretary General Roshan Buriro, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz-Bashir chief Sannan Qureshi, Jeay Sindh Mahaz-R founder Riaz Ali Chandio, and JSQM-Shaheed Bashir leader Dr Niaz Kalani.
The complaint alleges that the 45 nominated and 15 unknown suspects raised slogans deemed detrimental to Pakistan’s sovereignty and integrity. Furthermore, the FIR claims the activists engaged in rioting, damaged vehicles, and blocked roads during the commemoration.
