Pakistan U-19 Gears Up for Asia Cup Glory

The Pakistan U-19 team will initiate its Asia Cup campaign in Dubai on Friday, facing Malaysia in their opening Group ‘A’ fixture. The squad aims to improve upon last year’s semi-final finish in the eight-team, 50-over tournament.

Grouped alongside India, Malaysia, and hosts UAE, Pakistan’s high-profile clash against India is scheduled for Sunday. Their final group match against the UAE will take place on Tuesday. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on December 19, with the final set for December 21.

The Pakistan U-19 squad features a core of six players from the previous edition, bringing valuable experience. Vice-captain Usman Khan impressed last year with 101 runs in three innings, while right-arm pacer Abdul Subhan was their standout bowler, claiming nine wickets, including figures of six for 57. Left-arm spinner Mohammad Huzaifa also made an impact with five wickets for just eight runs in his sole appearance. SindhNews.com confirmed details.
