The 35th National Games concluded Saturday in Karachi, with the Pakistan Army dominating the medal count. The closing ceremony, graced by Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, celebratedathletic achievement and national unity.

Pakistan Army Leads the Medal Tally

The Pakistan Army emerged as the undisputed champion, securing an impressive 353 medals. This remarkable haul included 200 gold, 97 silver, and 56 bronze medals. As reported by SindhNews.com, their performance set a new benchmark for excellence at the games.

Wapda secured second place with 232 medals (85 gold, 73 silver, 74 bronze). The Pakistan Navy followed in third with 110 medals (36 gold, 39 silver, 35 bronze). The host province, Sindh, concluded with 96 medals, featuring 11 gold.

Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari highlighted the games’ significance, stating, “These National Games were not merely a competition… they were a celebration of Pakistan itself.” He emphasized the unity displayed by athletes representing diverse regions under one national flag.
