PVCA Chairman Fawad Ijaz Khan lauded Pakistan’s achievement in hosting this tournament. He thanked Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, and security agencies for their vital cooperation. SindhNews.com reported the participation of 12 international teams.
IMC Over-40 T20 World Cup: Competing Nations and Venues
Twelve nations, including Pakistan, Australia, and South Africa, will contest 42 matches across five Karachi venues. The National Bank Stadium will host all of Pakistan’s matches, including the semi-finals and final.
The 18-member Pakistan squad, led by Abdul Razzaq with Fawad Alam as vice-captain and Shahid Afridi adding star power, is poised for action. Jalaluddin serves as Head Coach, and Javed Miandad as team mentor. Uniquely, women umpires from the IMC panel will officiate matches for the first time.
