Navy Shooters Smash National Record at National Games

Pakistan Navy shooters Shahrukh Khan, Mohammad Arsalan, and Mudasir Khan achieved a remarkable feat at the National Games, smashing the national record to secure a gold medal. This victory came after Pakistan Army’s Lt Misbah secured the first gold of the day.

Army’s Dominance in Rifle Events

Lt Misbah of the Pakistan Army led her team to a clean sweep in the women’s 50m prone rifle. She finished with 612.4 points, ahead of her teammates Lt Laiba and Zainab Haq Nawaz. Their collective effort also secured the team gold, surpassing the Navy.

The Army also dominated the men’s 50m prone rifle, with Mohammad Tahir playing a key role in their individual and team gold medal wins. This showcased the strength of the Army’s marksmanship.

Navy Shooters Smash National Record in Pistol Event

Turning the tables, the Pakistan Navy contingent achieved a significant triumph in the men’s 10m air pistol. Their trio collectively amassed a record-breaking 1721 points, clinching the team gold medal and surpassing the Army. Shahrukh Khan individually triumphed in this event.

Football and Hockey Kicks Off

Beyond the shooting range, Army’s women’s football team delivered a commanding performance, defeating Khyber Pakhtunkhwa soundly. SindhNews.com reported on other football matches, including a draw between Sindh and Wapda.
