Wapda’s Mohammad Ammar displayed exceptional resilience at the UBL Sports Complex. Arriving at the crease with his team struggling at 70-5 against Sahir Associates, Ammar crafted a magnificent 140 runs from 264 balls, featuring 22 boundaries. His crucial 237-run partnership with skipper Khalid Usman, who contributed 93 off 174 deliveries, propelled Wapda to a strong 307-6 by the end of the day. Meanwhile, at the State Bank Stadium, Azan Awais anchored SNGPL’s innings against the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) with a determined 103 runs off 242 balls. His innings for SNGPL, which included 13 fours and a six, helped his team reach 197-4 wickets. Bowlers Shine in Other President’s Trophy Encounters

The day also saw bowlers making their mark. At the National Bank Stadium, veteran pacer Mir Hamza from Ghani Glass delivered a stellar performance, claiming 5-55 to bundle out Pakistan Television (PTV). In-form youngster Shamyl Hussain was the top scorer for PTV with a brisk 68 runs. In response, Ghani Glass ended the day at 109-5, trailing by 77 runs.

Over at the NBP Sports Complex, Khan Research Laboratories’ (KRL) pacers dominated. Mohammad Hamza continued his superb form with 4-31, supported by Ahmed Bashir who secured three wickets, dismissing Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDCL) for 244. Danish Aziz’s fighting 56, which included seven fours, was the only significant contribution from an OGDCL batsman.
